Phases

1. Discovery:

The Azure migration process starts with a discovery phase, where you work with your team and partners to confirm your business needs and determine which workloads are ready to be migrated.

2. Design and Planning:

We’ll move to the design and planning stage. This is where you decide how many VMs you need, what type of on-premises hardware configuration will be required, whether you want to keep any existing data centers active, and other considerations that can help guide your cloud strategy.

3. Create a Site Recovery vault:

The good news is that Microsoft has made it easy for you to migrate your on-premises applications and data by using Azure Site Recovery (ASR), which allows you to replicate your VMs to Azure. To get you started with ASR:

• We’ll Create an Azure Site Recovery vault
• Protect workloads from a source on-premises site by using a recovery plan
• Test failover and failback scenarios
4. Setting up Azure Servers

With a plan, we’ll move forward with actual migration. Setting up servers in Azure so your applications can run there; also means migrating data from your existing systems into Azure-based systems.

When all this is completed, we’ll test everything to ensure it works as expected and then integrate it into other processes within your organization.
